The physical bottleneck of modern RTLS
While real-time location systems (RTLS) have reached an impressive level of development, there is still a specific, critical bottleneck that no other hardware has managed to overcome: passing through physical walls.
That is precisely the challenge that Wheere's indoor geolocation technology has addressed.
In demanding industrial environments (dense metal complexes, reinforced concrete structures, or sites spanning several hectares), tracking has always been unsuccessful. The physical infrastructure in these environments interferes with conventional high-frequency radio signals, making transmission impossible.
To overcome this limitation, Wheere has developed a novel approach. By utilizing low-frequency VHF radio waves, our technology can penetrate up to 50 meters of concrete. It thus guarantees meter-level accuracy over an entire square kilometer, both indoors and outdoors, using a lightweight device consisting of just four antennas.
Beyond technical performance, the challenge for industry decision-makers remains operational. The goal is to obtain highly reliable spatial data (X, Y, Z) that can power automated processes: triggering alerts for the safety of lone workers, emergency scenarios in high-risk areas, or productivity analyses for fleet management.
Flowcate: turning position into action
It is this pragmatic approach, firmly focused on real-world effectiveness, that led to our partnership with Flowcate. Their middleware, DeepHub®, is the world’s first omlox-certified location intelligence platform. This platform was designed to unify real-time positioning data streams, regardless of the source technology.
Because a modern industrial site cannot settle for a one-size-fits-all solution, Flowcate focuses on agility. Its strength lies in its ability to analyze your operational bottlenecks to design the ideal architecture, drawing on a vast ecosystem of partners.
Thanks to this synergy, Flowcate now allows you to:
Deploy Wheere in standalone modein ultra-confined or shielded industrial areas that were previously completely inaccessible to tracking.
Integrate your existing technologies: combineUWB for centimeter-level precision, RFID for cost-effective zoning, and Wheere to cover blind spots caused by walls and various obstacles.
Endingvendor lock-in: DeepHub® aggregates all this heterogeneous data and instantly translates raw data into automated business workflows.
No hero wins alone
Given the complexity of industrial automation, standalone solutions have reached their limits. By combining Wheere’s disruptive technology with Flowcate’s powerful partner ecosystem, we are definitively breaking down the physical barriers to traceability.
Whether it’s tracking assets within large-scale facilities, managing the logistics of an outdoor fleet, or automating security scenarios, this partnership offers manufacturers a unique solution: an end to technical trade-offs.
