RTLS, or Real-Time Location System, is a technology that enables the tracking and identification of the precise geographic location of objects or people within a defined area (building, warehouse, industrial site), both indoors and outdoors.
Unlike traditional GPS, which can be inaccurate indoors, RTLS uses networks of sensors and beacons (such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ultra-Wideband, RFID, or Wheere technology) to provide location data with a margin of error that is sometimes less than a few centimeters.
