LEO-PNT (Low Earth Orbit Positioning, Navigation and Timing) refers to a new generation of positioning, navigation and timing services based on satellite constellations in low Earth orbit (500 to 1,500 km altitude). Designed to complement traditional GNSS systems such as GPS or Galileo, LEO-PNT offers stronger signals, reduced latency and greater resilience to interference. It thus enhances positioning accuracy, particularly in dense urban environments or those difficult to access, while preparing for integration with next-generation communications networks (5G/6G).
